The complex is showing its age, but there are good amenities onsite, and the location is good, close to Galveston proper. There is no easy way to cross to the ocean, but the ocean is close. 3 bedrooms plus the bunk beds gave our group the sleeping arrangements we needed. The group area inside the condo was a bit small and we struggled a little to all eat together, but there was seating so we made it work. The owners were very responsive and were helpful in us sorting out some issues. I would recommend.

This property is great for a fun family experience!! The house is beautiful and has a wonderful layout for different family age groups with 5 bedrooms/5 baths. We had two hiccups at the beginning but the owners were VERY QUICK and RESPONSIVE to remedy those!! It is not uncommon to have a glitch or two when you rent a property. It is all about how those are handled. We could not have asked for better service!! We stayed for a week and enjoyed the pool, movie theater, and the location!! We experiencedseeing several mama deer and little baby deer on the outside of the fence each evening! I would HIGHLY recommend this property!! My family had a great trip in Concan near the Frio River for a one week stay in June! We range in ages from 4 to 84 years old. The house was amazing and perfect for our large family to spread out when needed but to also come together for dinners and games. We had plenty of beds (which were super comfortable), and the main living area had plenty of seating for all 16 of us with room to spare. The outdoor area was perfect with a really nice, large pool and even more spaces to enjoy time at the house. This was my family's first time to the Frio river area and it did not disappoint! We were able to enjoy Garner State Park during the day and the jukebox dances at night (fun for all ages, highly recommend). We also put our tubes in the river at the nearby 7 Bluff Crossing, and we enjoyed the nightly dances at Joe Jimmy's. But to be honest, as great as the whole area was, we found ourselves just sticking around the house and having fun swimming in the pool and playing games the most. The hosts, Derek and Lauren were fantastic! They always responded quickly anytime we sent a message and a couple of times their groundskeeper needed to come by to take a look at some minor issues and he was super friendly. They sent an online guidebook with lots of helpful info and suggestions on how we can make our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend staying here!

We had a great time at this house. We had three families with a total of 18 people stay and everyone slept comfortably and had plenty of space. Should have stayed four nights! The house is decorated beautifully and has all you need. The owners were super easy to communicate with. When we had a small problem with a fan outside, they had maintenance there to help within the hour! A con but thankfully we had no neighbors to deal with but the house next door is just on the other side of the pool. I didn’t realize a house was that close. Just a note, in the master bedroom, it says there is a sleeper sofa as well as the king bed. Well the sleeper sofa is actually upstairs in a landing area. It wasn’t that big of deal but it changed our sleeping arrangement plans a bit. We plan to try to arrange another visit!!

Just got back from a week at Storey Lake and this beautiful home. I’ve rented through VRBO several times before, and hands down, this is the best place I’ve ever been to. It’s not just another vacation rental. Well, it could be. However, having rented many different places for many years now, there a certain things that one can expect and certain things that puts a smile on your face. I won’t go into too many details here, you’ll just have to rent this one for yourself, but it has to do with attention to detail and how the owners elegantly tie things together so you immediately feel like this is like the comfort of your own home. Welcome is a fitting word. The layout is great with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs, and the last bedroom and full bathroom downstairs. Beds are great!! The kitchen is of good size with quality appliances and a large kitchen bench. Fully stocked with everything you need and then some. Ice maker on the freezer and a capsule coffeemaker stocked with capsules of various blends (attention to detail…) to name a couple. Livingroom area has a very comfortable L-skspes couch and the dining table has ample room for many guests. WiFi works great on both floors as well as on the pool deck. Which brings us outside.. Great splashpool and enough space for both the sitting area, sunbeams as well as a Weber coal bbq (again details…), and a screened porch door to the walkway the surrounds the lake area and to the resort pool area. Great!And the hosts? 5star

Not all of the TVs worked (not that we were there to watch tv but was nice to be able to wind down a little before the bed)The handle to the sliding door broke as soon as we arrived (they came and fixed it first thing the next morning)The refrigerator and freezer were not working and we lost 1/2 of the food we had purchased for the week before they sent a small refrigerator. So we never had ice and had to go buy ice.We Paid for late check out, but they came an hour early to clean so rushed to pack up and leave because she said she was not made aware of the late check out.It’s advertised that there is a lazy river at the resort, but no rafts for it (you have to buy rafts at the pool area because there are signs that say no outside food drinks or rafts.) The owners were very responsive on all concerns!

The property is gigantic, unlike a lot of places that advertise room for 20 this place actually has the beds and bathrooms to accommodate a large group. It's also well appointed in our opinion, plenty of linens throughout and kitchen is fully equipped. Hosts are very engaged and quick to reply to questions or offer suggestions.

Four couples stayed at Adelante for three days. The house was perfect with large gathering spaces and private bedrooms and bathrooms for each couple. We spent time both indoors and outside just hanging out and for meals. The location was convenient to Garner State Park, the Frio, and restaurants. Derek and Michelle were very responsive hosts. The info they provided on the house and the area was super helpful. We’ll definitely stay at Adelante if we return to the Concan area!

We really appreciated the updated and well stocked kitchen and modern furniture. The game room was a nice plus but we found ourselves outside in the pool most of the time. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful scenery, the well-maintained property, and the thoughtful touches throughout the home. Awesome home. Beautiful neighborhood. The golf cart was fun, as was the hot tub. Cleanliness was an issue in several areas of the home to include the hot tub. Also, we were a bit disappointed to find out the heated pool came with an additional cost. The home listing literally begins with “Heated Pool”. That does partially land on me for not double checking fine print. Our experience may have just been a fluke, the owners were awesome and very responsive.

We had a wonderful time at Tullum! The house accommodated our families and teens really well. Everything was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and pool area. The location was great- close to the river, the dance halls and concert venues etc. We have travelled with two other families during spring break for five years straight visiting places like Utah, Rosemary Beach, Nashville etc. This home was in our top 2 SB rentals! The house is very beautiful. It has lots of common space and outdoor space. The kitchen had everything you need even though it could use kid friendly/plastic bowls, plates, and cups. It's hard to have a bowl of cereal out of a massive salad bowl. There are lots very nice home touches to the house, like the piano and games. When looking to book be sure to understand how the rooms are laid out. The upstairs has 2 "family" style suites. You have to go through a room to get to another bedroom and they share a bathroom. It is perfect for a single family. The 1st floor has 4 very nice size rooms all with their own bathrooms. The showers are very small very 1950's style. All beds are very comfy and there are plenty of extra blankets and even roll away cots if needed. The house has a view of the lake but no real access. The community backs right up to the public park which has a boat ramp and small dock. The house is located about a half hour from Hillsboro, a nice old town with lots of little shops. Its also close to Dallas and Waco.

We rented this property for a reunion of four families. We all agreed that we had a really great time. The property is gorgeous. We have plenty of spaces to hang around, for kids and adults. We used the pool (heated) and hot tub a lot. The firepit is a hit for smores and volleyball court is a definitely a plus. The kitchen and refrigerator are spacious, allowing our group to cook all of our meals during the stay. We appreciated the bathroom in every bedroom for each family privacy. The communication with the host is excellent, always prompt responses. We truly had a great time and enjoyed this property a lot, wouldn't hesitate to come back if we are in the area!

Our stay was great? Beautiful location, River was down so not much water in it. The house was very nice. We had problem with the hot tub but owner Derick replied immediately and the heater could not be fixed until after our stay. The bathroom showers in all rooms could be cleaner one had a wasp nest in it and the liner shower curtains were dirty on the bottoms. Some showers drained slow. Overall it was a Great Stay.

Beautiful interior, washing machine, dryer, full kitchen. Had fire pit, bbq, swings, deck furniture. The beach is half a block away on a mellow street. Wouldn’t bat an eye letting my kids walk down there on their own. It was perfect. The price was the best around because the cleaning fee wasn’t equal to the overnight fee which was all we were finding in other houses. Our hosts were amazing and organized. We felt very spoiled. Would definitely visit again.

We brought a basketball team to play in a tournament and the property was great. So much cleaner than your average hotel/motel. If you have a large group and want a great place to stay, this is the property for you.

Wonderful place to get away and have true tranquility! House is perfect, with lots to do. Outdoor area and pool were a great way to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. We saw many deer in the mornings, while we enjoyed our coffee. The host was quick to respond with any issues we had. Highly recommend this home

Very impressed with this home and the attention to details. When you walk into the home the first thing you notice is how open and gorgeous the home is. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and anything you need for cooking and serving. We really appreciated the extra coffee pots and Keurig as we had a large group with different coffee tastes. The bedrooms are split 2 on one side of the house and 3 on the other and each bedroom has a private bathroom. It was so nice to have that extra privacy. I saved the best for last, the outdoor space! I cannot say enough of how absolutely perfect it is. Right as you walk out the back door you are under a huge spacious covered patio that has a 8 chair dining area, a patio sofa set and table, and a bar to sit at. The bar/outdoor kitchen was very nice and clean. If there was one thing I would recommend it would be a bigger ice machine, but even that was not a huge deal because at the end of the street is a very convenient drive thru barn that has drinks and ice. There were multiple sitting areas outside, our favorite was the fire pit area. It is perfect for making smores with the kiddos or sitting in the comfy adirondak chairs relaxing and looking at the stars. We never had to leave the property because the pool was a perfect way to beat the heat. Of note, the pool has easy access if you have someone in your group that needs help entering.Do yourself a favor and book Adelante,I promise you it will be your favorite vacation rental!
