Spectacular Hosts. Very well ran AirBnB

Derek's home was phenomenal. We were there on a work trip and felt extremely comfortable in this piece of history. The large beautifully-decorted house and additional private casita helped our colleagues feel at ease in their own spaces. And though shockingly—with a tight work trip—we didn't get a chance to use any of the amazing amenities, the hot tub and sauna looked divine! Derek communicated extremely well and was polite, friendly, and caring during our entire trip. Highly recommend!

This was easily the best AirBNB I’ve stayed at! The house was gorgeous, had terrific amenities, and was fully stocked with everything we needed. Derek was an excellent host, quick to respond to my messages, and super easy to work with. We had a bigger group and everyone just kept commenting on how perfect the house was. Would absolutely recommend this place!!

Really great spot in a fun part of San Antonio. Great coffee shops, brunch spots, and bars nearby. Close to the action but in a quiet neighborhood, would absolutely stay again.

We have done airbnb's before that have been hit/ miss. This one stands out because of the little things. We had 5 adults, + 4 & 2 year old girls. We found ourselves staying at the home more just to enjoy the amenities. We enjoyed the family space that flowed from the kitchen-den-dining all open so everyone could interact. The little ones enjoyed the gym set, large teepee swing and the put-put. The small picket fence kept them in place while the adults could enjoy conversation, hot tub, or sauna. We all had private comfortable sleeping and bathing spaces while using the main house and the smaller cabin for the 2 + 2 lil ones. Everything outside was neat and ready to use without any issues. The inside was very warm and inviting and felt so relaxing. The furnishings were very inviting, compared to some places that are too neat, or "white" that you are afraid to put your feet up and relax! I was strongly recommended this property and this host to friends and family!!! Scott and family

We had a great time at Derek’s place. Cool art, well thought out spaces with everything we needed and more. The hot tub, cold plunge and sauna were amazing. If we return to San Antonio we will definitely be hoping we can stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was even more spacious and beautiful than we expected. The location was perfect, close to everything, breakfast restaurants, playground, HEB, Alamo dome tower of America and Riverwalk, we could easily walk to many places. Our whole family, from the kids to the grandparents, had such a great time enjoying the jacuzzi, sauna, and all the fun games and activities around the house. There are too many things to mention, but what impressed us the most was Derek and Lauren!! I don’t know if this is the right expression, but they felt like our warm and caring parents who were just away on a short trip — always quick to respond, checking in to make sure we were comfortable, and truly kind. They are by far the most thoughtful and genuine Airbnb hosts we’ve ever met. If my son's school make it to San Antonio for the UIL State competition next year, we’ll definitely stay here again!

Extremely responsive and helpful hosts! The home is in the perfect location to enjoy everything that San Antonio has to offer. The home was very clean, and the amenities made it hard to leave, very easy to lose track of time! A very walkable location for all ages even in the Texas heat. We can't recommend this property enough!

Nice place. Lots of room. Good location in terms of being close to things. The beds were super comfy. Not a great looking neighborhood. Not all that well maintained, but I guess that’s part of the charm. The reduction in stars is primarily because we spent our last night in the place wide awake as the smoke detector battery alarm beeped from 2 am on. It was rather indicative of the lack of maintenance done on the place, which they try to mask by saying it’s a historical location. On top of that, the putting green outside is basically unusable because of the amount of yard debris that is not taken care of. The karaoke machine also does not work as anything but a speaker (it requires a Korean app that is no longer supported). Didn’t try the sauna or spa. I can only assume they work fine, so no complaints there. Overall a good stay, but I’d probably look somewhere better maintained next time.

Our multi gen family had a great stay! The kids loved the play items and the hot tub! It had everything we could ask for and is super close to downtown.

This house was a great experience for a friends trip to San Antonio! The house decor and themes were thoughtfully done and there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy time with the group in the house. Having three full, spacious bathrooms and a half bath was great for everyone to have some privacy during the stay.The outdoor portion of the home was excellent and has something for everyone. The hot tub was very clean and offered a fun place to relax and catch up with friends. We used it every night. The putting green, yard games, sauna, and cold plunge were fun options for those who had an interest in them. If we had a longer stay, I’m sure we would have lit a fire and sat around the fire pit. The location was also very good. It was less than 5 minutes to walk to the closest scooter drop point and another 5 minutes by scooter be in the heart of downtown! Even if scooters aren’t your thing - it’s only a 15 minute walk to the River Walk downtown. Hope to return again another time!

This place is awesome! It made our stay in San Antonio memorable, and we used all the extras the house had to offer, from sauna and hot tub to outdoor Connect Four and corn hole, even just rocking in the chairs on the porch. It feels like a peaceful residential neighborhood, but is steps away from many things. Highly recommend

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this centrally located Airbnb near the Riverwalk and Alamodome. The property exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect setting for our visit, which was centered around my son-in-law’s basic training graduation. The home was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed and more. The host went above and beyond to include unique and fun amenities that catered to all ages in our family. We appreciated the engaging activities, such as the karaoke machine, putt-putt golf, plunge ice water bath, sauna, hot tub, hammock swing, and jungle gym with a swing for our little one. These thoughtful touches kept everyone entertained. One standout aspects was the exceptional hospitality provided by the host. Anytime I had a question/needed assistance, the host was incredibly responsive, replying to my messages in < five minutes. This level of attentiveness made us feel valued. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful historical home in San Antonio! The house was spotless, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable visit. We especially loved the charm and character of the historic property, which made our stay feel extra special. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The checkout process was also simple and stress-free. My family visiting from Canada was absolutely delighted with the place, and it made our time together so enjoyable. The location was also very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the city.

Derek’s place was the perfect place for our weeklong work conference stay. My coworkers and I loved how easy it was to get to the Riverwalk and enjoyed all of the amenities that were offered. 10/10 would stay again next time in San Antonio.

We absolutely loved our time at Casa de Colores! The home was beautiful, vibrant, and so thoughtfully designed. The beds were incredibly comfortable—probably some of the best we’ve ever had in an Airbnb. Our oldest son had his own space in the casita, which was perfect and gave everyone a little extra room to relax. The amenities were top-notch—they’ve truly thought of everything to make the stay feel easy and luxurious. From the cozy touches to the well-stocked kitchen and beautiful outdoor spaces, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’d absolutely stay here again!

The home was very nice. It was the same as the photo. Love the house it was very clean inside and out. Most definitely recommended and look to book again in the future.

Thank you Derek, We had a great time, 8 of us having a reunion, plenty of time in the hot tub and sauna, played cornhole, used the firepit and chatted late into the night, did hour long cold plunge challenge, cooked in the kitchen, and used the karaoke machine. We had a blast! We visited the missions and did the walk between them all day Saturday, the bnb was perfect for relaxing afterward. We even had to take a sick friend to the emergency room late Saturday night, 7 minute drive. She is fine, praise God. All my friends said I did a great job picking the bnb.

Derek and Lauren were very helpful and very responsive. Beautiful house with very vibrant colors. The house worked out perfectly for our 3 night stay with 13 people. We enjoyed sitting outside around the fire ring, on the front porch, and in the hot tub which was very clean. The couch is large and comfortable for movie nights. The dinning table seats 8 and was perfect for our game night. The Casita has a popcorn machine which the kids were very excited about. Unfortunately the heating element went out. When I let Derek and Lauren know, they sent over some popcorn and snacks for the kids. That was very nice. The property was convenient for us as we spent most our time at/around the Riverwalk. Quick drive and Riverwalk parking was $25 - $35 a day. I do recommend finding lots that do not charge you by the hour.

Wonderful stay for the whole family! We had an amazing time staying at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. It was perfect for our family, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. We appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home. Communication with the host was easy and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other families!

We came into town for my nephew graduation and this spot stuck out. Walking distance from amazing restaurants, safe and relaxed. 15-20min ride to the Air Force witch was perfect for us and the extra in-law sweet that was amazing. Amazing art decor in and outside of the home. Host was so helpful and friendly. Recommend for a group of guys or family

We all (old and young) LOVED spending our getaway in this beautiful home. The hosts were very attentive to our questions and minor issues. We will definitely pick this place again when visiting SA. If you can handle the moist heat lots of places are within walking distance. Thank you.
